An Easy-to-follow Guide for Installing Lightroom Presets
You can install Lightroom quite quickly and easily. Lightroom presets onto your smartphone or desktop application. For a mobile, download the free Lightroom app and use the Lightroom CC for computers. This allows you to get a free trial and a subscription from Adobe. Here are the steps you need to follow next.
· Open Lightroom
· Hover to Edit - Preferences - Presets
· Click on 'Show Lightroom Presets Folder
· Double click 'Lightroom.'
· Double click 'Develop Presets
· Copy your presets folder(s) into the 'Develop Presets' folder
· Restart Lightroom
Part I Mobile Installation
All phones do not use preset files similar to the desktop versions. Mobile presets also require using DNG photo files, which are RAW photos having all the color data, such as the one for Lightroom desktop application data. So, you can edit your presets for all parameters.
DNG presets are downloaded to
your mobile.
Several presets for mobile
are just downloadable in the form of ZIP files because of web restrictions.
That's why you first need to unzip the zip file to access the presets.
If you're not using a
computer to unzip the presets zip files, it is helpful to use apps such as iZip. This app lets you unzip the file straight onto your phone
from the store where you bought them. Download the file, followed by tapping on
'Open in iZip.' After the file is unzipped, import the photos into Lightroom.
Part II From The Computer
You need to do things
differently if you're using a personal computer to send the presets to your
mobile. Use the mobile Dropbox and Airdrop to send presets from the Lightroom
Mobile from your computer to your mobile.
Airdrop is useful for iPhones,
iPads, and Mac, while for Android, you should use Dropbox, Google Drive, or
similar applications.
Open Lightroom Mobile
Open Lightroom Mobile on your
mobile. Now, it's time to import the DNG files from a photo library or camera
roll. Please note that your photos will appear as blank photos in your photo
library before you send them to Lightroom. This is because few devices cannot
read DNG natively, and a DNG file is a RAW photo file carrying all the prest
data.
Press the blue import
icon.
Choose the location in your mobile location where you want to Lightroom Presets Installation from your camera roll or photo library. Those using iZip will find it within the iZip application.
Select the DNG preset files
to import.
The DNG files will get imported as they load into the Lightroom Mobile app.
Select a file and press (...)
the settings button.
Press' Create Preset'. Creating a group is one of the best practices to keep the presets well organized. It lets you access them easily wherever you need to.
Click on 'User Presets'. Then 'Create a Group.' Import
all the presets in this way to save them into Lightroom.

Installation is all done and ready to use all your presets just by
clicking on the 'Presets' button.
